Payments
What currencies does Omega Market accept?
The base currency is Monero (XMR). Deposits made in Bitcoin or Litecoin convert automatically into XMR upon arrival. Ethereum support was removed previously due to specific security concerns. You cannot hold balances in BTC or LTC within the wallet interface.
How long does a deposit take?
A new one-time address is generated for each deposit and remains active for approximately one hour. The network requires ten confirmations before funds are credited, which typically takes around thirty minutes. There is no minimum deposit amount set by the platform.
What are the withdrawal limits and fees?
Withdrawals carry a flat fee of 1 percent. The available window ranges from 0.05 to 100 XMR per request. Only one withdrawal transaction processes at a time, which effectively limits frequency to once per hour.
Orders and escrow
What happens if a vendor does not accept my order?
Vendors have seventy-two hours to accept an order placed against their listing. If they fail to act within that timeframe, the system issues an automatic cancellation. The buyer can reset the counter up to three times before the slot closes permanently.
How does auto-completion work?
Digital goods finalize automatically seventy-two hours after the status changes to Sent or Dispatched. Physical products require ten days following the Delivered status marker. Verified stores with ratings above 4.5 and over 1,000 sales can use the Finalize Early option, though standard timers apply otherwise.
When can I cancel an order?
Buyers may cancel a pending order after twenty-four hours from placement. Once that mark passes, manual cancellation is disabled, leaving only the automatic timeout mechanism. Cart capacity limits purchases to ten items across a maximum of ten distinct stores.
Disputes and reviews
How do I open a dispute?
Dispute options appear only after the item status reaches Sent, Dispatched, or Delivered. You can propose a partial refund with evidence, and the vendor can counter-propose. Both sides must engage with the process to define the terms.
What if the vendor does not respond to my dispute?
If a party provides no response within seven days of the other side replying, the system grants an automatic resolution in favor of the active party. Either side can also request a moderator to step in manually after five days.
How long do I have to leave a review?
You have fourteen days from completion to post a review. Points awarded depend on speed: ten points for posting within three days, eight for three to seven days, seven for seven to ten days, and five for ten to fourteen days. Review levels range from Newbie Reviewer to Review King based on accumulated points.
Vendors
How much does it cost to become a vendor?
The vendor bond stands at 500 EUR, which is non-refundable. This payment secures your store privileges and covers potential losses from disputes initiated against you. New vendors paying the bond must provide proof of ownership for certain listings.
Can I get the vendor bond waived?
Waivers exist for sellers who bring verified history from previous platforms. Your PGP key must match exactly between the source market and Omega Market to qualify. Standard applicants without cross-market verification pay the full 500 EUR upfront.
What rating can get my store banned?
Stores averaging below 2.5 stars face risk of administrative removal. Inactivity lasting two weeks triggers vacation mode, which hides your profile temporarily. Daily listing caps allow ten new entries normally, rising to forty for verified accounts.
Account and security
Can I log in with my PGP key?
Yes, if you uploaded a public PGP key and enabled 2FA, you can log in with the key alone. The login flow still requires decrypting a message and entering the resulting 32-character token. Supported RSA key sizes include 2048, 3072, and 4096 bits.
What is the personal phrase for?
It serves as an anti-phishing measure displayed during login sessions. It helps verify that you are interacting with the genuine Omega Market interface and not a copycat site. A mismatch means you are on the wrong page, full stop.
What happens if I lose my PIN?
The six-digit PIN protects withdrawals, password changes, and PGP updates. There is no self-service recovery mechanism if you forget this code. Losing it means losing the ability to execute those sensitive actions until support restores access manually.
