Omega Market Fees Explained: Commission, Withdrawals, Vendor Bond

Sales incur a 5 percent commission calculated on the total order amount, not on profit margin. An order worth 50 XMR generates 2.5 XMR in fees, deducted automatically upon finalization. Withdrawals cost 1 percent of the withdrawn amount, within limits of 0.05 to 100 XMR per transaction, restricted to one withdrawal per hour. Withdrawing 10 XMR costs 0.1 XMR. Depositing XMR to a one-time address is free, and browsing listings carries zero cost. Only successful transactions and outbound transfers trigger deductions.

The vendor side

Vendors pay a non-refundable bond of 500 EUR to open a store. The bond covers administrative overhead and serves as a penalty reserve for unresolved disputes or violations. A waiver exists for sellers with verified history on other markets, accompanied by matching PGP keys. Proof of ownership requires photographing inventory alongside a handwritten note containing the vendor name, the current date, and the words "Omega Market." Bonds do not return after bans. They are gone permanently, which is the point.

XMR direct versus BTC converted

Comparing direct XMR purchases versus BTC entries involves the exchange rate at conversion time. Auto-conversion uses internal pricing, which may differ slightly from spot market values. Frequent buyers minimize spread losses by holding XMR natively. Infrequent buyers tolerate small deltas for ease of access. Track net proceeds by subtracting the 5 percent sales fee and any withdrawal fees from gross revenue before calculating margins. Spreadsheet accuracy beats mental math here, and the difference shows up quickly once volume crosses a few hundred XMR a month.
